What to expect in 2012!

Not that anyone reads this but this is just a entry to say what I will be up to this year!
2012 will be a busy year for me! its the second half of my 2nd year at uni, studying animation! I have to produce a 3D film so really looking forward to it XD. I am going to try and do more drawings and will try to upload them on to DA. I have been put off uploading work on DA and just upload rubbish! but this year I will try to upload 10x as much.
Expect fan art! such as harry potter, X-men, batman and so on! and also expect some 3D stuff. this year it will be spent trying to get better at drawing. Also expect more life drawing! I need to get better

Heyy,
I have not been doing hardly anything with my DA which is due to Uni work. I have been so busy and more and more things I need to do pops up and I have no time to do anything really. Hence the really shit art work I'm dishing out to you all. I apologize!!
I have to do a lot of 3D and 2D work! and I have to note it all down in a blog. So although I don't think a lot of people read this or care (as I am not popular on this) I want to share my blogger with you :). It tells you my progress, what I'm doing at the moment and shows some of my art work that I have not really posted on here. so take a look if your interested:

My name is Peter and I have just been offered an unconditional place at Lincoln University studying animation.
I am really excited about going there but could you tell me more about the course? What are the 3-D animation facilities and tutors like? Also do they teach character design there? Also I like type and image so would I be allowed to add hat into my animations?
Sorry for the interigation but I really want to make the right choice of uni ya know.

sorry for just only responding I dont check DA very much.
We have our own studio called the Think Tank, we have an eating room, 2D studio, 3D studio, other rooms that you can sit in if you have laptops and the lecture room. We have been "upgraded" this year so we have brand new computers and our software have been upgraded so we are all up to date. program's we use are flash - for 2D, Maya 2012 - for 3D, photoshop, aftereffects and z-brush - for modeling.
In your first year you will learn the basics of animation like a walk cycle, bouncing ball etc all in flash with Neil (I think sometimes it can change) Neil is great if you love 2D and flash, He designed face book games.He will also talk a bit about character design, I'm a 2nd year and it can change every year.
Then You will get Sultan who teaches 3D, in your first year you will learn how to model objects and maybe start to show you 3d animation. He knows everything to do with maya and maya is a hard program so you need him!
Then you will learn to create a layout with Sean. you must watch blade runner! he goes on and on about blade runner! he loves blade runner and will refer to this film all the time!
Then for you lats project you will animate a sting. Its like a 15 second advert. the topic changes every year so Im not sure what the sting we be. You will be in small groups for this. You have to pitch your idea and Sean chooses the best and they get made.
we also have an animation society, this is where people can meet up get to know each other and watch films.
Also for treats in your 1st year you go on a trip to America, to LA, and you go on trips to Warner brothers. It was amazing! shame it was only for a week!
We also get special guests, such as Peter Dodd (who worked on the muller advert the one with Mr men) people from D negative, and Tim allen who worked on Corpse Bride.
you also do a lot of life drawing! this is important if you wont to be an animator.
as for type and image Im not sure. you could try it in your sting, you have a freedom to show off you skills and what you enjoy doing so you may be able to add that in to your animation.
sorry its so long and I don't think i have missed anything. So if it doesn't make any sense if you need any more info just ask! I hope I have answered your questions and I hope it doesn't sound like an advert promoting it! lol
Tip: Watch a LOT of films, Play a LOT of video games. That might sound mad but if we get in to discussions it will lead to talking about Skyrim, Limbo and blade runner. Sean uses them as examples all the time.

Is Lincoln as nice an area as it looks? I walked through the high street before my interview and it seemed nice but what is the rest of it like?
